Memberships* Membership with the VOR provides you with the following benefits:
You maintain contact with fellow professionals, for example through membership of one or more divisions.
You receive the ISI journal Pedagogische Studiën (6x per year)
You get discounts for participating in the annual Education Research Days (ORD), the VOR Theme Conference and the European Conference for Educational research (ECER) organised by the European Educational Research Association (EERA).
Who are members?
The vast majority of Dutch researchers of education are members of the VOR. In addition, there are a number of other practicing professionals with membership to this association, such as, curriculum and testing experts, educational policy officers, teachers, teachers-in-training and trainers in business and industry. Further, membership is possible for PhD students, educational science (training) students, students.
In total, the VOR has approximately 850 members. Students and PhD students can become a member of the VOR at a reduced rate. Subscribers to “Pedagogiek” also get a reduced rate on membership of the VOR.
You can choose different types of membership:
Regular membership VOR € 90.00
PhD student / student membership VOR € 56.00
VOR Membership Reduction (for subscribers Pedagogiek) € 74.00
Each VOR member is a member of one division of the VOR for free. You can indicate this on your registration form. If you would like to be member of multiple divisions, you will pay € 5, - for each additional division.
As a PhD student-member you are automatically a member of the PhD division (VPO) of the VOR on top of a division of your choice. For more information, go to the menu item ‘VOR Discussion- PhD students’.
You can also subscribe to Pedagogische Studiën without joining the VOR. The following rates then apply:
